Montana Symphony License Plate

The Montana Association of Symphony Orchestras offers specialty “Montana is a Symphony” license plates for purchase. The project is supported by the Montana Arts Council, a state agency funded by the State of Montana and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Montana Association of Symphony Orchestras receives $20 from every new and renewed plate, which bring in an average of $15,000 annually. The revenue from new purchases and renewals of the Montana is a Symphony license plates is equally distributed between the seven orchestras who hold a full membership with Montana Association of Symphony Orchestras. These funds are used to support member orchestras’ public educational outreach programming statewide for the orchestras in Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls, Glacier (Kalispell/Whitefish), Helena, and Missoula.

Contact your county treasurer’s office or Department of Motor Vehicles to purchase a license plate.

Volunteer

Sometimes the greatest gift you can give is your time. There are many volunteer opportunities available with our education programs, Young Artist Competition, and annual conference. Call the office at 406-552-3207 and ask how you can get involved.

At Montana Association of Symphony Orchestras, we know that volunteers are the lifeblood of any non-profit organization, and especially for Montana symphonies. In an effort to recognize the impact that volunteers have, we annually bestow our Volunteer of the Year award on one of our outstanding volunteers. Each year’s winner is publicly honored and acknowledged at a concert. Recognizing and thanking volunteers is beneficial to all of our Montana Association of Symphony Orchestras members in building public awareness for the importance of volunteer involvement.
