Growing your orchestra’s Annual Fund doesn’t necessarily mean doing more. It means knowing what to do, when to do it, and how to make the most of limited time and resources. A well-planned fundraising calendar can help you strengthen donor relationships, improve cash flow, and build a more sustainable Annual Fund.

The Association of California Symphony Orchestras (ACSO) and Montana Association of Symphony Orchestras (MASO) are joining forces to partner with RSC Associates for a two-part interactive workshop to help you turn fundraising goals into a practical, year-round plan.

Each 90-minute session will cover two quarters of the fiscal year, breaking annual fundraising into manageable priorities:

Part 1 | Quarters 1 and 2: Build early momentum through prospect planning, frontloaded solicitations, and year-end giving

Part 2 | Quarters 3 and 4: Sustain momentum through donor stewardship, additional giving opportunities, and a strong fiscal-year finish.

Focusing primarily on the Annual Fund, you’ll explore how to strategically sequence donor acquisition, renewals, stewardship, and upgrades while aligning staff and board responsibilities with your organization’s goals and capacity.

This is a working session, not just a presentation. Using a fillable workbook, interactive exercises, and real-world examples, you’ll begin building your own fundraising calendar with quarterly benchmarks, resource needs, and actionable next steps. You’ll also exchange ideas with orchestra colleagues from California, Montana, and beyond.

Who Should Attend: Executive directors, development professionals, board members, and volunteer fundraising leaders at orchestras of all sizes, especially those looking to make their fundraising efforts more focused, effective, and manageable.

You’ll leave with a practical roadmap for growing your Annual Fund, clear quarterly priorities, and a stronger understanding of who needs to do what—and when—to move your fundraising forward.
