For the first time in over a decade, the Great Falls Symphony is proud to present The Nutcracker Ballet with live orchestral accompaniment. Joined by the Montana Ballet Company and Electric City Youth Chorus, we bring this beloved Christmas classic to the Mansfield Theater on November 24th at 7:30 pm.
This special production blends the timeless magic of The Nutcracker with the spirit of the American West. Set against a backdrop of familiar Montana mountains, the ballet feels closer to home while staying true to the holiday tradition you know and love. At the heart of it all is Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable score, performed live by the Great Falls Symphony, bringing the story to life in a way only a full orchestra can. It’s a familiar holiday favorite with a Montana twist.
“I am absolutely thrilled to bring the magic of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker to Great Falls. For the first time in more than a decade, the Great Falls Symphony will perform this beloved ballet in its entirety, in a special collaboration with the Montana Ballet Company and Electric City Youth Chorus. What makes this production particularly special is how it celebrates Montana, featuring talented local dancers and a beautiful set inspired by our state’s majestic mountains. I can’t wait to share this holiday tradition with our community, and I hope you’ll join us for what promises to be a truly magical experience!”- Robert Kahn, Great Falls Symphony Music Director and Conductor
Our concert is the only Nutcracker ballet performance in Great Falls this holiday season that features Montana musicians, dancers, and singers. For more information about the concert and to purchase a ticket, visit www.gfsymphony.org/nutcracker-ballet.
